Biography
Band is defined by Zuzana''s stunning vocals, beautiful melodies, urgent guitars fused with poignant keyboard parts to form an untypical mixture of 70''s psychadely, modern alternative emo rock energy with gothic doom melancholy. All these and many more you may find in music of Dying Passion.
It has been a few years now and our chemistry as a band is only getting stronger. Our music moves in steadier steps on its way ahead. We really enjoy creating musical forms based on our collected moods. This spirit, the essence of the music, lives in our CDs - though, admittedly, something more powerful thrives in our live performances.
“It is really a great music…I’ve met the band Dying Passion for several times on live show already
and their live shows are almost as excellent as the CD.
I don’t remember that I’d listen to such emotive music recently, if ever.”
Metalzone.info
“This excellent band understands not only dynamics but also the impressive effect of balancing soft with hard,
light with dark… the sound really comes together beautifully, and it’s not really like anything you’ve heard before.

Album ''Sweet Disillusions'' is gorgeous, free-hearted, mature, multiform, hot, desirable, mysterious ...
an ideal piece for all out-of-genre cosmopolitan rock music fans.
Muzikus, Rock&Pop magazine
I can definitely state that this particular experiment is a total success. "Sweet Disillusions"
is a superb album for those who are not narrow minded and enjoy listening to a band that is not afraid to experiment.
Metal-archives.com
Well, here is a band that I enjoyed. The music was so awesome and emotional and played with such a feeling that I got sucked in.
If your into this style this is the best band I have heard doing this style.
MetalCore Fanzine
That's one huge mixture there. The music cannot be compared to anything directly but there just might be slight similarities with the Gathering.
Not any huge one''s though. I find this cd having more personality. Damn smooth music with balls of one''s own and not borrowed.
Overhook Music
Their music's still devoted to the specific model of atmospheric hard music … they smartly entrap you into the web of magical allurement so tightly,
you're not able to set you free.

Although if you do some hunting, and deep listening, you can find many treasures. it displays great use of unique instruments,
and you will wonder how this all fits in. Well let me tell you, it is quite unexpectedly good.
Metal review
The female vocals are excellent. Their vocalist has a unique expressive musical style that's unlike anyone else I know of singing in a metal band.
Dying Passion reminds me of a more progressive Lacuna Coil, though I find Dying Passion's song-writing and Zuzana's vocal delivery much more exciting and interesting.
Progressiveworld.net
Dying Passion play heavy, catchy, melodic metal with progressive touches. Though straight-forward and accessible, the song-writing is very melodic
and engaging, with a nice variety in the riffs and melodies of each song.
Rock Woman
In addition to the great melodic element, the thing that strikes me the most about this music is the wonderfully full texture;
Zuzana has a lovely voice, and she sings with energy and passion…this is quite impressive music.
There is a great pool of talent here.
Epinions.com
Dying Passion play dark, experimental gothic metal and stack up pretty well against the better bands in the genre...I credit Dying Passion
for finding their own voice on Voyage and exploring musical boundaries in a number of genres. If you’re a careful listener who demands music
that is a cut above the rest in terms of creativity, you will likely find a winner here.
Transcending The Mundane
The songs offer a lot of mutual diversity and it means that the album cannot be labelled under one style.
Diversity rules on this album and it has seldom anything to do with metal is the conclusion.
Consequently mostly recommended for adventurous souls.
Lords Of Metal
I'm sure that there is a market out there for Dying Passion.
PyroMusic.net
This is melodic metal, with good "drive" to it. Plenty of cool riffs and a woman who sings both high and low,
I think it''s quite nice that there actually are some altos out there amongst all the female voices...

Finding their own voice and exploring musical boundaries in a number of genres moves their music more to progressive rock. In March 2002 they start to record their second album "Voyage" at Hacienda studio (cz). It was arranged with the great help of Milos "Dodo" Dolezal. The album fits in the gothic metal genre, but there are also ambient, blues, trip rock elements, with use of a wide palette of contributing instruments, including flute, piano, violin, and cello, which do a great job of complementing the heavy, vibrant guitars. "Voyage" was released on Metal Breath in May 2002. Dying Passion received good reviews and highly positive fans reaction. Japanese version of Voyage was also released on Black Wind Records (RIP) in April 2003.
In summer 2003 flutist left the band, they''re playing huge number of gigs in the clubs and festivals. Video was shot for song "Hot Breath of Night".

2004 "Sweet Disillusions"
At this year big events happened, mainly in their private lives. Vocalist Zuzana and guitarist Standa gave the birth of their first child Eliska. Ahead of this in April 2003 the group was in the studio again. Their 3rd album called "Sweet Disillusions" was recorded in "SOPA" studio in Lipov (cz) with a great assistance of Standa Valasek. The members wanted to try out new ideas and apparently made this album more varied and experimental, leaves behind most of the “gothic” and much of the “metal” and instead offers something much harder to get a descriptive lock on.
The album "Sweet Disillusions" is a legacy to the moments we humble souls have lived through. You can uncover the deepest parts of our inner places, offering a sweet, intoxicating energy.
